After starting her career at a headhunting firm, Isabelle Quainon joined Veolia in 1992 as Executive Training Manager at CGEA (waste management and transportation). She then became a member of the team that created the Institut de l’Environnement Urbain, now known as Campus Veolia. She was later appointed Head of Training at Veolia Transportation. In 2003, she decided to extend her operational experience, spending three years managing a public transport network in the Paris region.
In 2006, she was appointed HR Director for the outer Paris region at Veolia Water Île- de-France (VEDIF), where she was involved in the project that led to the renewal of the contract with SEDIF. During this period she was also in charge of HR coordination for Veolia in Île de France.
In 2011, she was appointed Director of Training and Skills Development for the Veolia Group, overseeing the Group’s professional training and worldwide network of Veolia campuses. In 2016, she was appointed Deputy Human Resources Director for the Veolia Group. In this role she was responsible for talent management, executive development, compensation and benefits policies, and the HR information system. In 2023, she was appointed Chief Transformation, Engagement and People Officer at Veolia Water Technologies.
On March 1, 2025, she was appointed Human Resources Director for the Veolia Group, and becomes a member of the Executive Committee.
