For more than 10 years now, the international festival for responsible films has been selecting and rewarding the best advertising, institutional and documentary films on the ecological and social transition. For its 12th edition, the jury made up of members of major institutions such as ARPP, Arte, the IPCC, the French Ministry of Culture and many others unveiled on June 8 the winners selected from the 500 films in competition. It was in the "Fight and adaptation to climate change" category that the latest Veolia ad stood out, winning the Golden Palm.
Spearheaded by optimism
A dried-up river and a group of children who have come to take a dip in it. Far from feeling sorry for themselves and turning back, they join forces to design and build a natural diving board that they can use once the river is afloat again. The very vision of Veolia, which signs this ad to express how, despite this context of urgency, the world of tomorrow can be evoked with optimism.
Ecological transformation: a collective success
These children, like the women and men of the Group, are imagining and implementing solutions in France and around the world that enable us to believe that a transformed, sustainable and desirable world is possible. Optimism and determination, combined with collective intelligence, are the human levers capable of meeting the challenges that lie ahead. Finally, this film emphasises that the future is in our hands, in all of our hands - decision-makers, citizens, businesses - because together we will be able to rise to the challenge of ecological transformation.
