This new business line offers the nuclear industry the most complete range of technologies, expertise, and services for cleaning and dismantling installations and treating low and intermediate level radioactive waste.
Veolia's Nuclear Solutions business is growing fast. This is evidenced by the recent contract with SODEI-EDF. The Group will support the energy company in optimizing the management of contaminated metal waste recycling on its Centraco site in France. The waste will be sorted, packaged, and prepared before being melted on site. Free of pollution, metals will get a new lease of life by becoming, for example, metal drums that can hold more contaminated waste.
Veolia will seize every opportunity for growth in the field of nuclear clean-up, particularly in the emerging and very promising NORMs (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials) market.
