Veolia supports the new state-of-the-art Danone Nutricia Cuijk plant in the Netherlands

Opened today in south-east Netherlands, Danone's Nutricia Cuijk facility produces specialized infant formula. Through its operational expertise and its most advanced technologies, Veolia assisted Danone in the design and construction of the plant with the aim of achieving the lowest possible environmental footprint. The Group will guarantee the availability and performance of the plant’s industrial utilities for the 10 years of the contract.

Nutricia Cuijk is one of Danone's main production sites in Europe. Veolia will ensure the availability and reliability of the plant’s industrial utilities - air, steam, and ingredient and process water - through a Hubgrade™ hypervision centre that will maximize the reuse and recovery of water and heat, and reduce the CO2 footprint.

 

This project illustrates the Danone's “One Planet. One Health" vision and contributes to its 2050 "zero net carbon" goal.

Since the beginning of the alliance between Danone and Veolia in 2016, the companies have been leveraging their respective strengths and expertise to co-design and implement projects to enable Danone to create and value and integrate economic, social and environmental change across their processes and operations. These projects support Danone in its environmental commitments: water management, energy efficiency, sustainable packaging, waste management and renewable energies such as biomass and biomethane.
