Jean-Baptiste Carpentier appointed Chief Compliance Officer of Veolia

Veolia has decided to strengthen its compliance system by developing its scheme for preventing and detecting risky practices. Reporting directly to Antoine Frérot, Veolia Chairman and CEO, Jean-Baptiste Carpentier has been appointed Chief Compliance Officer of Veolia Group effective January 4, 2018.

He will also ensure the compliance policy is deployed and supervised throughout the company. The scope of the compliance department notably includes infringement of human rights and environmental protections, as well as anti-competitive practices and breaches of financial market integrity, as the goal is to protect the entire Veolia group and all its stakeholders.
