InVivo and Veolia join forces to develop the circular economy in the world of agriculture
Veolia and InVivo, the leading French agricultural cooperative group, today signed a partnership agreement to develop the circular economy in the world of agriculture. Their cooperation covers four themes: water resource management, reuse of treated wastewater for irrigation, urban agriculture and digital solutions.
Through their respective subsidiaries SEDE Environnement and Agrosolutions, Veolia and InVivo have been working together for 3 years. The two groups work in particular on diagnosing the risks of agricultural pollution and on implementing action plans in several drinking water catchment areas in the north of France.
As part of this new partnership, Veolia and InVivo could jointly develop a viticulture irrigation project using treated wastewater.
"This partnership demonstrates that the world of agriculture is looking to the future. The circular economy is an essential part of producing more and better and thus meeting the societal and environmental expectations of consumers while enhancing the income of our farmers," said Thierry Blandinières, CEO of the InVivo Group.
