Climate: what now?

The climate crisis is now part of our everyday lives, regardless of the country we happen to live in. With record temperatures, frequent hurricanes, melting glaciers, it has a severe impact on people, the environment and the economy.

Veolia chose to explore a both optimistic and realistic approach to what can be done to limit climate change.

This approach is based on concrete facts and proven solutions that show that entire sectors of the economy can be decarbonized without it necessarily requiring significant financial resources, a fundamental challenge to our lifestyles or immediate global coordination.

Press Day 2019 highlights:

Antoine Frérot's presentation of a climate action program, which answers the following two questions: what would it be possible and realistic to implement in the short, medium and long terms? And, what would the impact be?

• An unprecedented immersive experience, meeting the Group's employees involved in concrete solutions that mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and help territories adapt to the consequences of climate change

• The presentation of a study by Roland Berger consultants for Veolia revealing the key role played by environmental businesses in fighting climate change
