Buildings and industrial facilities use a considerable amount of energy in the form of heating, cooling, lighting and hot water. Energy efficiency has consequently become a major issue both for attractiveness and competitiveness. In collaboration with its customers and partners, Veolia develops energy services that reconcile energy and environmental performance.
Ensuring energy efficiency with performance contracts
The Group offers energy performance contracts to its clients to ensure production efficiency, reduce their energy consumption, and improve their energy mix. Part of the agreed remuneration is results-based.
In 2002 in the Middle East, Veolia and Majid Al Futtaim set up a joint company called ENOVA. Through this subsidiary and under energy performance contracts, Veolia provides energy saving solutions for buildings in the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Egypt.
