Coolants & Cutting Fluids

Used coolants and cutting fluids become hazardous waste as they become contaminated by heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and chromium.

The responsible disposal of coolants  and cutting fluids is important. If these materials are discharged directly to a sewer, they can pollute the environment and waterways and harm people.

Does Veolia collect and dispose coolants and cutting fluids?

Veolia’s highly trained and experienced team can safely collect, treat and correctly dispose or recycle your coolant and cutting fluid waste at one of our licensed liquid waste treatment facilities.

The packaged waste will be collected by our dedicated hazardous waste fleet and transported to a liquid recovery and treatment facility. The liquid will go through an initial testing process to identify contaminants and determine the best treatment or disposal method.

The coolant and cutting fluid may be recycled by removing contaminants and dissolved metals through chemical and filtration process. If it cannot be recycled, the fluid is disposed of safely.
