Ethics Committee
Veolia Environnement has created an “Ethics, Belief and Responsibility” program that applies to everyone.
The ethics process was initiated by the Executive Committee, which believes that an ethical lapse in any part of the company anywhere in the world could reflect negatively on Veolia Environnement as a whole, either by undermining client and partner trust, preventing staff from working together in harmony or damaging the company’s image. The Ethics Committee was therefore created to gather intelligence on the best practices in every area of corporate life, including technology, finance, the environment and employee relations.
Role of the Ethics Committee
The Ethics Committee functions independently of management and strives to work in perfect harmony with all Veolia Environnement employees.
Although it may take the initiative of referring cases to itself, the committee may also be contacted by any Veolia employee concerning a question related to the “Ethics, Belief and Responsibility” program.
The Ethics Committee adheres to specific rules and values. It guarantees full confidentiality to anyone who requests it. However, the committee will not follow up on “complaints” or anonymous tips if the whistleblower refuses to reveal his or her identity after the initial contact. Ethics Committee members are there to help all employees do more to affirm and put into practice the principles and values Veolia believes in, which are our strength.
Contacting the Ethics Committee
Cases can be referred to the Committee by sending an e-mail to a dedicated mailbox, ethique.ve@groupve.com. It is a secure address, whose contents can be ready only by committee members and their assistant.
